Evidence · HighSemaglutide (RUO)
Also known as: GLP-1 analog, NN9535
Semaglutide is a long-acting glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist featuring a modified backbone (Aib substitution at position 2 and a fatty diacid moiety at Lys26 that promotes albumin binding).
Research context
Semaglutide is a long-acting glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist featuring a modified backbone (Aib substitution at position 2 and a fatty diacid moiety at Lys26 that promotes albumin binding). In laboratory research it is used as a reference agonist in GLP-1 receptor pharmacology, incretin-signaling assays, and comparative in-vitro potency studies against native GLP-1(7-37). Half-life extension via albumin binding is a widely studied case example in peptide pharmacokinetic research. The material we supply is a research reference standard. It is not the FDA-approved therapeutic product and is not authorized for human use, compounding, or resale for injection.
Storage & stability
Store lyophilized at -20°C. Reconstituted material at 2–8°C; use within 6 weeks.
Purity & testing standards
Each batch of Semaglutide (RUO) is analyzed by an independent third-party laboratory. Standard release testing includes reverse-phase HPLC at 220 nm (purity target HPLC ≥99%), electrospray mass spectrometry (identity confirmation), and endotoxin screening. Batch numbers on each vial resolve to a downloadable COA on this site.
