Privacy and cookie policy

This policy describes what information researchuseonlypeps.com collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.

We take no orders and hold no payment data

This site does not sell anything. There is no cart, no checkout, and no order system. We never collect or store shipping addresses, billing addresses, card numbers, or any other payment detail, because there is nothing here to pay for. If you buy from a third-party vendor after leaving this site, that vendor collects and controls that information under its own privacy policy, not this one.

What we collect

  • Your email address, if and only if you choose to submit it through a form on this site to join the reference list.
  • Your mobile number, only if you type one in and tick the box asking for text alerts. Both are optional, and neither is required to join the reference list or to receive anything we offer. Alongside the number we store the exact wording you agreed to, the page you agreed on, and the date, time, IP address and browser you agreed from. That record exists so we can show, later, that the consent was real.
  • What you send through the contact form: the topic you pick, your message, the page you name if you name one, and your email address only if you choose to give one, along with the IP address and browser you sent it from. It is stored in our database and read only by the people who publish this site. An email address given there is used only to ask you about that report and is never added to any list.
  • Standard server logs: IP address, user agent, referring URL, and timestamps, retained for security, abuse detection, and aggregate traffic measurement.
  • Usage measurement collected through the cookies and identifiers described in the next section.

Cookies, analytics, and third-party advertising

We advertise this site on third-party platforms, including Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram). To measure whether that advertising works, this site uses cookies and similar identifiers set by us and by those third parties.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or to other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites.
  • The Meta pixel loads only on our signup pages (the COA checklist and text alerts pages). It records that the page was viewed and whether you signed up there. It does not load on peptide, vendor, or article pages.
  • We use these identifiers to measure page views, referral source, and whether a visit resulted in a signup on this site. We do not use them to build a profile of your health, and we do not attempt to identify you personally from them.

You may opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, in your Meta ad preferences, or opt out of a broader set of third-party vendors at aboutads.info. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works normally without them.

How we use what we collect

  • To send the reference updates you asked for, and nothing else.
  • To understand which pages are useful and which advertising works.
  • To keep the site available and detect abuse.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the site and its mailing list (hosting, database, email delivery, analytics and advertising platforms), each acting on our instructions, and where we are legally required to.

We do not pass your email address, or any information identifying you, to any vendor linked from this site. Following an outbound link takes you to that vendor's site; those links are set to withhold the referring page from the destination.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of sharing described above, and are not shared with anyone. The one exception is the licensed messaging carrier that delivers the message to your handset, which cannot send it without the number.

Text alerts

The text programme is entirely optional and entirely separate. You join it by entering a mobile number and ticking an unticked box on our text alerts page or on a form elsewhere on the site. Consent is never a condition of any purchase, of joining the email list, or of receiving anything else we offer, and nothing on this site is withheld from anyone who leaves the number and the box alone.

Messages carry safety alerts, new third-party lab results, and vendor score changes. Up to four messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop them immediately, or HELP for contact details. Leaving the text list does not remove you from the email list, and leaving the email list does not remove you from the text list.

Retention

List subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Contact form reports are kept until the matter is closed and then deleted on request. Server logs are kept for a rolling operational window and then discarded.

Your choices and rights

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, through the contact form. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; we honour those requests regardless of where you live.

Children

This site is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
