GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring tripeptide (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine) that spontaneously forms a stable complex with copper(II) ions. Concentrations of the free tripeptide in human plasma decline with age. In vitro and dermal research applications include extracellular matrix remodeling assays, fibroblast collagen expression studies, and antioxidant enzyme regulation. The copper-bound complex distinguishes GHK-Cu from many peptide reagents by combining a peptide backbone with a redox-active metal center. Supplied as a blue-purple crystalline solid.

Storage & stability

Store lyophilized complex at -20°C. Aqueous solutions should be freshly prepared and used within 14 days.
